nobody’s watching

i might be a bit late to the party here since i found mention of this on the sydney morning herald, and they’re generally not all that quick when it comes to interweb stuff, but below are three videos comprising the pilot episode of a show called ‘nobody’s watching’ from some of the guys behind scrubs and the family guy. i found it most amusing. the two leads are very funny, and according to the smh article the show has now been picked up thanks to the following these videos have generated on you tube.

weeklyshot

added another photography link, weeklyshot.

WeeklyShot is a new kind of group photoblog and photo challenge. Every week we announce a new theme, then photographers interpret this theme and upload their own photos in response. During the week users critique the images and decide which ones get featured on our homepage photoblog for all to see.

what’s nice about weeklyshot though is what makes it a ‘new kind’ of challenge. all ratings of photos are done anonymously, and you don’t know who’s photo you’re rating until later in the process. this works to prevent the usual social circles forming and having people only rate the work of their friends. the pictures very much speak for themselves.

was quite pleased to get an invite and hopefully it’s a means for me to improve.

new links

i’ve chucked up a couple of new photography links to some more of my regular reads/views. they’re over there. no, on the right.

thinsite - as featured quickly yesterday. lots of good work, some great hdr images.

these fleeting moments - i can’t begin to imagine how much time jason spends on processing some of these shots, but the results are truly amazing. the guy does a sky like no other.

journal - it’s very difficult to describe what ed leveckis does here and he seems intent on not giving away any secrets as to how he does it. incredible swirls of gritty b&w and colour, but also some extremely sharp captures with a real edge about them. that doesn’t really do it justice, go look for yourself.

new york moments - i’ve linked to dave martinidez before. brilliant black and white captures of new york and surrounds.

get clicking, and enjoy.
