caught these two videos on tv tonight.

firstly another stunning piece of electronica featuring a haunting performance by robyn. you might remember a while ago i linked to andreas kleerup’s effort, with every heartbeat, with robyn up front (and there i’ve linked it again). dream on is a rerelease of a track that was initially brought out in 2006, at the time also featuring vocals from the ark’s ola salo. salo has been dropped for the 2008 version, with robyn going it alone. it has to be said, i’m not a huge robyn fan, but man, that voice works perfectly for these sorts of tracks. it’s intense and it’s uplifting, and you should go clickedy click.

second is a reworking, rather than a rerelease. from the mists of 1992 comes something good by utah saints. i loved it at the time and the 2008 version takes nothing away from the original. the main reason i wanted to stick it up here though is the video, which is fan-freaking-tastic. for anyone who’s ever done the running man at a club, wedding, or just in their own bedrooms, it’s a must see.
