We had a car this weekend, which is sort of unusual for us, so Saturday we decided to head out into the archipelago and see what we could see. We were both hoping to get some nice low light shots after sunset, but my brand new batteries died after about four hours, just before the sun went down. Very disappointing, and has pushed up my camera upgrade schedule. A battery grip would have been really handy, as would some kit that's rated down to -10 ceclius. So, new camera next month i think.
Anyways, a couple of years ago I went out to Björkviksbrygga for a very cold and windy day shooting. Today we had beautiful clear, blue skies and not a breath of breeze, so we headed back out for another go.
It's a very calm and peaceful place when the wind's not up. The sun was shining down and warming us, but it was no less cold than last time as we got closer and closer to sundown.
This is one of the last shots I took before my batteries gave up and it's probably the best of the day. I have a couple of others that may see the light of day.
